Meanwhile, the university provides one with more oppotunities to make friends.

Some people, however, are not in favor of the oppnion talked above. To some extent, they believe the university is just a place which wasting one's time ,energy and money. In their point of view, one cannot learn the skills which is needed for surviving. Because nowadays so many studens in university are spenting the valuable time on useless things. So it would be better for them to find a job in society.

As far as I an concerned, I think the university education is necessary for students. Not only can it helppromote one's self-improvement, but also it can provide with a better understanding of the society.

Good morning, everyone. The title of my speech is “What college education means to me”羨梁.
For me, college education is a marvelous ship-builder. With great vision, college education has equipped me, first with a powerful propeller--the knowledge in certain field and wide exposure to other disciplines. By devoting myself to my courses in the day and immersing myself in the world literature at night, I’ve amassed the driving force for the future and enriched my soul.
Besides, college education has also provided me with a precise compass--the sense of social responsibility. How can I best serve the public while achieving my self-fulfillment? My one year’s experience as an English tutor has proved: to be valuable to society as well as to find my place, I have to possess some actual strength and the ability to function well in the most challenging situation. Amid the hectic schedule that balances club activities, sports, and academic courses, I feel the rhythm and beauty in my life, knowing that I ’m on the right way.
And more importantly, college education has set up not only single ships, but also fleets with common destinations. By interacting with friends of common beliefs, I’ve acquired skills of relating to other people.
Now,as a ship about to make my maiden voyage,I’m still not in the position to tell what’s waiting ahead of me,but with a powerful propeller, a precise compass and ardent companions of sailing in the sea of society, I’m ready to be a great sea-explorer. Thank you.
大學教育對我的意義
大家早上好。今天我演講的題目是“大學教育對我的意義”。
對我來說，大學教育猶如一位技藝精湛的造船師。首先，具有遠見卓識穗派肢的大學教育為我裝配了一只馬力強勁的推進器；專業知識及廣博的課外知識給我帶來無限猜世動力。白天我全神貫注地研習自己的課程，晚上則盡情享受世界文學，在此過程中，我既為未來積聚了力量，又充實了自己的靈魂。

Most of the countries in the world value education. why? beacause education is the basic of a country .nobody can deny the importance of education. a person ,who has been educated ,know much knowlegde than others . if every civilian in a country can be educated ,the country would be very rich and civilised.and the civilian of the country must be very happy ,because they not only have money they also have knowlegde.

When I was a little girl, I always wanted to go to college. Now I am a freshman of a key university. I have asked myself the same question so many times：Why I go to college? The major reason is that I need to further my education and know more about the outside world. In high school, I was always feeling not enough to get knowledge from the textbooks and I didn’t have enough time to travel to see the outside world. But in the college, I have abundant time to read the books I’m interested in and travel to different places to broaden my horizon.

Moreover, college is such an ideal place to make new friends who come from different places and I can learn about the different culture. As I am a typically southerner, I find there are many differences between north and south after I come to college, such as the way they talk, and the food they used to eat. Before I went to college, I admit I never pay attention to these. And I don’t want to be a person with a tunnel vision; I want to make more friends during the four years.

Second, I’m unwilling to step into the society straight after high school. I’m afraid I’m not fully prepared for the working environment: complicated interpersonal problems, jockeying for position, a tremendous amount of pressure and etc. I have to face various kinds of major conflicts as well as trivial things. I seem to be over-pessimistic, but that actually accounts for part of my choice.
